Masaru Iwai: Reborn-Art Festival 2017′s 1st Talk “Oshika Peninsula in Earth History”

The preparation for Reborn-Art Festival 2017 to be held in the summer of 2017 on the streets of Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture and Oshika Peninsula is in progress. Watari-um Museum is conducting the very first trial curation for the Art department in Japan.

Prior to the opening of the festival, Masaru Iwai together with other participating artists is going to participate in this first round of art talk series in conversation with Shinichi Nakazawa. Nakazawa is an anthropologist and one of the members of the production committee.

Motomasa Suzuki attends “Megururi Art Shizuoka 2016”, works shown at Shizuoka Prefectural Museum of Art

Motomasa Suzuki will be participating in “Megururi Art Shizuoka 2016”, the art project to be held from November 1st to 20th at Shizuoka Prefectural Museum of Art. “KENPOKU ART 2016″ will take place from September 17th to November 20th at 6 cities in Northern Ibaraki Prefecture. Rafaël Rozendaal’s large web work “from here to there” will be projected on the largest wall of Hitachi Civic Center at 19:00 this evening (September 16th) in the eve of festival’s opening. Enrico Isamu Ōyama Solo Exhibition “Like a Prime Number” to Be Held in London

Enrico Isamu Ōyama’s solo exhibition Like a Prime Number, hosted by the Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation in London, will begin on February 26.

 

“FFIGURATI,” a term coined by Ōyama himself and used as the title for his works, is a word that generates a continuity of singularities, just like the series of prime numbers. This solo exhibition, titled Like a Prime Number, will focus on the role that “FFIGURATI” plays in the context of his work.
